About Us

An Achievable Dream is a nonprofit organization that benefits students and families on a daily basis. Through a public/private partnership with Newport News Public Schools, we operate two schools in Newport News, VA. 

By providing a solid academic education, a social foundation, and a safe haven for children of poverty, we are ensuring that each student has the tools to reach their potential. 

Begun in 1992 as a summer tennis and academic camp, An Achievable Dream has grown and has been recognized by many local and national organizations as a model for excellence.  However, it is only with the support of our donors, sponsors, partners that we have been able to continually expand our program.
